- Musical Literacy- getting familiar with reading and writing music on staff paper, keyboard musicianship, solfege (sight-singing), and ear training
- Music Theory- learning diatonic intervals, major and minor scales, and basic chord theory
- Music Composition- basic song structures, lyric-writing techniques, and methods of songwriting
