The Arepa is a flat, round, unleavened patty of soaked, ground kernels of maize, or—more frequently nowadays—maize meal or maize flour that can be grilled, baked, fried, boiled or steamed. There are some other varieties known such as Pupusas from El Salvador or Gorditas from Mexico.
Needed Ingredients:
-2 cups of Corn Flour: P.A.N, Arepaharina or Maseca. Corn meal will not work
– 1 cup of lukewarm Water
-1 Tsp of Salt
-1 Tbsp of Oil or Butter -Your choice- for cooking
