6 Tools To Make Working From Home Effective And Easier

If you’re a veteran when it comes to working from home, you know that just having a good internet connection is not all you need to work from home effectively.

For all of you that have recently migrated to home-office, we’ve listed some of our favorite collaboration, communication and productivity tools that make your new life working from home, a very effective and productive one.

The following softwares and tools are segmented by the type of resource or area that would help your remote team.

1. Google Drive (Document/File Management)

We love Google Drive at Yahzah! It’s free, it allows you to organize and store all your content and information, and makes it easy to work with multiple coworkers on the same document, at the same time. 

A real game-changer.

2. Canva (Easy Design)

This one is very Similar to Adobe, but incredibly easy to use if you’ve never used an Adobe software. Canva allows you to create team accounts where you can share design templates, ensuring that everyone on the design team has access to edit any file while working from home. 

3. Whatsapp (Quick & Easy Chats)

If your team is scattered across the globe or your business needs to communicate with international clients, WhatsApp is a great communication platform that allows you to create group chats, send texts, host multiple-person video calls, or make voice calls for FREE while connected to a Wi-Fi network.

4. Google Hangouts (Videocalls)

Google Hangouts is our favorite option, as it is very convenient for everyone who uses Gsuite. This is an easy-to-use desktop and mobile app that allows you to even share your screen with teammates so they can see your work or presentations.

5. Asana (Task Management)

Asana is an amazing app that lets you create and delegate tasks, organize, and check off tasks into private or shared projects. You can even chat within each task with other coworkers involved in the project and add attachments from your computer, Dropbox, Box, and Google Drive. 

6. Gsuite (Team Collaboration)

Google Suite (G Suite) is a very budget-friendly Google platform that allows you to collaborate on Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slide, there’s other Google tools that you can use with your team, such as the calendar and ultimately you can create work emails through the GSuite platform.
